I became a Christian during a youth camp I attended in June, 1991. Prior to that, I thought I was a Christian because of the good things I used to do. I can hardly remember a day I disobeyed my parents or teachers at school.

I would go to church every Sunday and I even joined the choir when I was in grade one. For me, this is all there was to being a Christian. Morally, I was what you would call a very good girl. |

I give thanks to God for my parents, especially my mother, who instructed me from childhood to trust in God. She introduced me to attending church on Sundays. She was an example to me as she lived her Christian life by displaying her Christian morals, that I learned in my childhood. May God richly repay her with life everlasting. |

I have been exposed to the gospel since childhood as my parents were members at Kitwe Chapel and Ndola Baptist Church. This made me a little insensitive to truths of the gospel, as I became very familiar with it and that it stopped making sense, and consequently, I no longer felt the need to go to church. |
