25th Zambia Annual Reformed Conference

2014 Zambia Reformed Conference-1REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED!

The 25th Zambia Annual Reformed Conference will be held from the 25th to 29th August this year at Lusaka Baptist Church.

This year’s theme is “25 Years of Reformation: Running Forward, Remaining Faithful“, and the key speakers will be:

Voddie Baucham – Running forward (across Africa in missions). The idea under this is that for the last twenty five years we have planted about 40 churches across Zambia but only about 4 outside Zambia. SOS calls are beginning to come from various corners of the continent, asking us to go there and plant churches. We need to “run forward” and hit the iron while it is hot. Our continent has been overrun by an extreme form of Charismania, which is threatening the very faith of God’s elect. We cannot afford to stand or walk. We must run and plant truly sound New Testament churches across the continent in order to turn the tide around.

Pastor Kenneth R. Jones

Ken Jones – Remaining faithful (to the Doctrines of Grace). The idea under this is that we have been a distinctly Reformed Baptist movement since inception some 25 years ago but it is so easy, as the churches multiply, to simply become a popular grouping of churches with no robust doctrinal convictions. Once upon a time we were the despised young people who were being misled and whose churches were expected to die (because “churches that hold on to the doctrines of grace in other parts of the world are small and dying”) but now we are the respected churches in Baptist circles in Zambia and so attract many who do not necessarily sense those early convictions that caused us to pin our colours to the mast at great cost. We need to remain faithful to those truths that gave birth to the Protestant Reformation, to great revivals across history, and to the great missionary movement that we see today–and are still a force to reckon with across the globe.

Plus there will be other local preachers to cover topics on life  (i.e. Worldliness, dressing, childishness, entertainment, etc)

  • Keynote address: Conrad Mbewe

At this year’s conference, we will have:

  • Thematic interviews over 25 years, plus Q & A in the afternoons
  • Testimonies about how the conference has impacted people in the 25 years (Some to be shared in public while others in the  conference bulletin).
  • Conference bulletin to be handed out covering 25 years.

Because of the 25 year fellowship model, we will have only one conference throughout this time (no School of Theology).

Please be much in prayer for this great event!

Is it possible to show how registration for the conference will be progressing? It might be helpful to those procrastinating to make decisions quickly.

I really thank God for his sovereignity. For in evrything,he has ordained zambia to be the leading nation in africa with profound truth of the doctrine of grace.Namely, the doctrine of elction, the eternal security of the believer(the doctrine of assurance) or the perseverance of the believer which is used in calvinism, and many other sound doctrine such as the spirit gifting, sealing, and baptism.Well,I believe this will able to cease the plaque of false doctrine that is infecting our continent.

    Thank you
